Concept Artist Who's Who

Here is my concept artist who's who for the crit Friday. I looked at artist Lorin Wood - as his work is linked to my influences. scribd: https://www.scribd.com/doc/243740881/Concept-Artists-Whos-Who

@Jordan - Establishing shot help!

This is a tricky thing to master a place in the desert, I don't know how to arrange, or ''define'' the sand dunes and the city together?

Opinions. Interior Shot compositions.

So I spent a little while sketching after posting the previous set of thumbnails. This time round I took a part of the extract of Despina when they describe ''crews of different flags break bottles over one another heads''. So taking the ship angle angle here are four composition sketches that I have created.

Each image is inspired by some of my previous research into cabins and ship interiors. I know the lines are wobbly but when I hit/hold shift on my laptop it keeps coming up with sticky keys and I am unable to draw straight lines - unless I used the line tool.

Opinions, composition 2 - Low angle shot

Doing this last time gave me some good insight as to what image I should take forward, now its the low-angle shot's turn. I had my original design (1) and adapted it, removing and adding things. But i am not sure what to go for. Basically its to show how the combination of ship and city can work together.

Opinions Needed.

So today I've been working on some concept designs for the exterior establishing shot and after narrowing down to a couple I made in photoshop, I need some collaborative support. The idea is to portrait the city as a large infrastructure containing aspects of a ship. I generally wanted to know out of this selection that I should think about taking forward for my detailed works?

Perspective practice exercises.

After the contextual studies lecture I decided to sketch a few practices for perspective in my book and when I returned home I took the sketches into Photoshop and finished them. I rather like the first image with the low angle one because that was a little difficult to get the angle right.

Research for Despina. Initial ideas

So I thought I would do something a little different, I have created a power point presentation of my initial research for this project so far. It helped me get a sense of what I'm doing myself, gave a sense of structure to my idea and also helped me decide my own way forward as I was getting a little lost as to where I was supposed to be. This is also aiding me in good practice of using scrbd, creating a presentation - which we will need for our crit and giving me the chance to organize myself.
