Year 2: Narrative Blog creation progress.
It's been a while since I have posted, but now there is a new task to do for year 2. As a group we have already started looking at what to call and do for our ''studio''. I started a group chat on facebook as follows:

Hey guys - this is excellent stuff, getting stuck in...but maybe you need to guard against calling your studio a name with such strong associations... 'Little Sprite Studios' sounds very childlike and whimsical and cutsey... what if, after the briefing, you find yourselves making something more sombre or adult? Maybe you need to think about neutralising some of those connotations? Personally, 'Little Sprite' is too 'My Little Pony'... Sprite is good, it's just the 'little' that's too controlling; maybe think of less diminutive language? Try a few more combinations of words before you settle: for example, were you called 'Electric Sprite Studios' - there is nothing in that name that strongly suggests any one kind of film making or genre or audience. In short, I'd suggest a bit more thought and discussion is now required - which you appear to be enjoying anyway!
